The NEF Ministerial Meeting is a unique policy gathering that brings together government ministers or their representatives and other important stakeholders to discuss important themes that advance scientific research and innovation on the continent. After the first meeting was held on the sidelines of the NEF Global Gathering 2016 in Senegal in March 2016, a second was recently held in Rwanda in November 2016. The meetings are held every six months to review progress from recommendations arising at the last meeting and tackle new policy initiatives. Meeting participants review concrete initiatives developed from global best practices and local contextual experiences and challenges. Read about the most recent NEF Ministerial.
